Our faculty and students make us proud of them every day.

Some of the outstanding achievements of students show their zeal towards their work. Here are some of their achievements

  • K. V. Saiswetha is Pursuing Integrated Ph.D in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
  • B. Madhurima of B.sc., III B secured first rank in Osmania university common entrance test -2018.
  • M. S. A. Bhaavana of B.Sc., second year attended VSRP 2018 at TIFR, Mumbai from May 7th to 4th July 2018.
  • K. Vaishnavi and T. Sruthi of B.Sc., first year won I prize for Poster presentation on “BIG BANG TO BLACK HOLES”- A Tribute to Stephen Hawking, an intra college event which was organized in Bhavan’s Vivekananda College of Science and Humanities, Hyderabad on 10th August 2018.
  • Five students of the department have cleared the Preliminary round of National Anveshika Experimental skill test (NAEST-2018) organized by Indian association of physics teachers (IAPT) at Hyderabad centre. Geethika of B.Sc., second year topped semifinals, received a cash prize of Rs 1000/- and participated at national level which was held at Anveshika’s Kanpur premise.
  • A. Rajasri, K. Aishwarya lakshmi and D. Tejaswini of B.Sc., second year won II prize for Live model in GLEE, held on 29th November 2018.
  • B. K. Vaishnavi and D. Vijaysri of B.Sc second year have won II prize in quiz competition conducted by Birla science centre to mark National Science day on 27th February 2019.
  • K. Vaishnavi, Manisha and T. Shruthi of Bsc second year have won first prize in Quiz competition, at St. Ann’s college, Mehdipatnam, to mark Apollo 11 to Chandrayaan 2 on 2nd July 2019.
  • Manisha K. Vaishnavi, and Krishna of B.Sc second year won second prize in Quiz competition at Bhavan's Vivekananda College, Sainikpuri, Hyderabad, on 28.1.2020, on the eve of National Science Day. They received a trophy and a certificate each with a cash prize of ₹1500.
  • Krishna and K. Vaishnavi of B.Sc second year have won the first prize in Science Quiz competition in an Inter College Competition held at St. Mary’s College, Yousufguda, on 6th March 2020. They received a trophy and a certificate each with a cash prize of ₹4000.
  • Five students of final year have completed projects in Summer school in Network Resource Center, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad in May 2019.
  • K. Vaishnavi from B. Sc second year got selected for an eight-week internship under the Academies Summer Research Fellowship Program at Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai from 23rd May, 2020. The topic of study is Quantum Computing and also selected for an internship under the SURGE program at IIT Kanpur from 25th June, 2020. The topic is 'Hydrogen Atom in Higher Dimensional Euclidean Space'.
