Library Rules & Regulations

 

  • Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
  • Silence to be maintained.
  • No discussion permitted inside the library.
  • No personal belongings allowed inside the library
  • Textbooks, printed materials and issued books are not allowed to be taken inside the library.
  • Students can carry Mobile phones but using it is strictly prohibited in the library premises.
  • After issuing the book kindly write your name, class and roll no. under the date stamp.
  • Show the books and other materials which are being taken out of the library to the staff at the entrance counter.
  • Library ID card is also your College ID Card valid for all the 3 years for UG students, 2 yrs for PG students and 1 year for Diploma students.
  • Loss of library ID card should be reported to the librarian. Duplicate card may be issued against formal application and fine.
  • Library ID Cards are not transferable. The students are responsible for the books borrowed on her card.
  • Refreshments of any kind and water bottles shall not be taken anywhere in the library premises.
  • Books will be issued on presentation of the library ID card. Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing and they will be responsible for any type of damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.
  • Books borrowed should be returned on or before the due date stamped, if returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period.
  • Fine : - If delayed to return on time Rs. 2/- will be charged upto 30 days and after 30 days fine will be chargeable Rs. 5/-.
  • If the books are lost, then the students shall replace the books of the same edition or latest edition or pay full cost of the book after getting permission from the librarian.
  • Students are require to handle the books/ Journals very carefully; marking with pencil , writing or highlighting , tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously. In such case students shall be held responsible unless these are brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.
