BCom Computer Applications (CAP)
This course is designed to cater to those students who would want B.com course with added advantage of computer knowledge. Apart from studying the core commerce subjects, students are offered courses in Finance and Marketing in the 5th and 6th semesters
Course Objectives
- To expose students to concepts of commerce.
- To train the students in the application of computers in various business operation.
- To impart skills of organization/presentation/analysis and application.
- To cater to the current needs of the industry in areas of business, finance and computerization.
- To enable the students learn analytical skills through a guided project in the area of Marketing finance and HR.
Program Outcomes (POs)
Upon completion of the B. Com Degree Programme, the graduate will be able
- PO1. To receive a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals and a quality education in all the core subjects essential for an undergraduate degree in Commerce.
- PO2. To build entrepreneurial skills required for innovation and creation of ideas.
- PO3. To develop effective communication skills and contemporary IT knowledge essential for joining the workforce or for further higher education.

At the end of the program, the students of BCom(CAP) will
- PSO1. Acquire a thorough conceptual knowledge of subjects relating to Accounts, Finance, Banking, Marketing, Law and Economics.
- PSO2. Learn the concepts and mechanics of Data Analysis and Visualization and be able to design a simple website.
- PSO3. Gain a working knowledge of programming languages relevant to industry and databases.
- PSO4. Be capable of working in groups and understanding interpersonal & team dynamics.
- PSO5. Be equipped with latest trends in business automation, a basic knowledge of statistical tools required for business analytics & skill sets required for leadership & management.
