Career Guidance & Placement Cell
The last academic year was very remarkable year for the Placement Cell. The Placement Ambassadors were selected through a rigorous selection process which had two rounds: Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Out of the process, 15 student ambassadors across various UG and PG courses were appointed, who worked under the supervision of Lt. Marie Thomas throughout the academic year.
The companies that came in for recruitment were impressed with the zeal of the students. They appreciated the infrastructure facilities and ambience of the institution. They were taken aback by the various opportunities, competitions and exposure provided by the college for the overall development of the students.
To shape the career of students to the corporate world various Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) Sessions were conducted by GE, Deloitte and Arcesium giving them the insights on how to conduct themselves through the recruitment process. We had T.I.M.E, an educational startup, who gave useful insight for cracking the aptitude test, which is the basic round of any recruitment process. They also conducted a mock aptitude test to let students know their caliber and enabled them to improve on the same. A Grooming Session by First Foundation Pro was held and they taught the students valuable tips on grooming and behavior to be followed in the corporate world.
We had 11 companies who visited college offering internships, where 117 students interned. A few of the organization which took on interns were Radio Mirchi (4), Voice4Girls (52), Shriram LIC (15), HCRM (12), Quest Alliance (18).
