COFEE

 

The student club of the Commerce department allows students to engage in activities that sharpen leadership and management skills, explore common interests and make lifelong friends.

Commerce Organization For Emerging Entrepreneurs (COFEE) is an organization founded by the Department of Commerce in the year 2002, to inculcate and enhance organizational, managerial, and leadership skills in students. The club has grown and contributed effectively to the growth of the student community and in the year 2017 it has introduced 5 sub-clubs namely

Several activities are organized towards this end, including competitions, guest lectures and study tours, throughout the year. The activities culminate with the commerce festival Arthashastra, an inter-collegiate festival that sees participation from several colleges in the twin cities.

Arthashastra consists of Innovative events that are fun as well as encourage the diffusion of commerce knowledge. Quizzes, paper presentation contests and business games are conducted. The grand finale of this one-day festival is the Mr. & Ms. CEO competition, a personality contest with a business orientation. This year, the Investiture ceremony of the COFEE club was held on August 2. Here is a report on the ceremony.
