The best way to predict the future is to create it. Bachelor of Vocation Programme (Retail Management and Information Technology) was initiated on the recommendation of the University Grant Commision ( UGC) under the Ministry of Human resource Development ,Government of India, to ensure that graduate students have adequate knowledge & skills for employment & entrepreneurship. This course was introduced on June 19, 2014. It is the first of its kind in the country. The course is aimed to impart skills and knowledge to meet the requirements to work and explore business opportunities in the Organised Retail and IT sectors. The emphasis of the course is towards gaining knowledge through a hands-on approach by inculcating industry visits, store visits, internships and research which supplement the class room teaching. Thus, it is a perfect amalgamation of academic and industrial experience.

Objectives

  • To impart continuous research-based learning to help students acquire knowledge and enable them to adapt to changing market dynamics
  • To encourage innovation, creativity and leadership amongst students.
  • To prepare students and make them industry ready by providing practical hands-on experience.
