Capacity Building
Besides classroom teaching, the curriculum involves field trips to monuments, heritage walks and screenings of historical films, among other innovative methods of education.

- Two Day International Symposium on Leadership and Wisdom-Among leaders and learners by Dr. Larry Linamen- Vice President for global initiatives-CBU, USA and Dr. John Shoup, CBU, USA held on 13-14 September,2022 and attended by 16 staff and 110 student participants.
- One Day seminar on World Tourism by Ms. Sujatha Cecelia/Ms. Asha Kumar was held on the 27th of September,2021 attended by 2 staff and 25 student participants.
- One Day Webinar on Lifestyle Response to covid Pandemic by Dr. Guruva Reddy/Dr. Madhubala Budhori/Dr. PKN Choudhury was held on 24 May 2020 attended by 4 staff and 120 student participants.
- One Day National Webinar on Pandemics- A Historical Perspective by Prof..K.S.S Seshan was held on 26 May 2020, attended by 10 faculty and 250 student participants.
- Three Day International Webinar on the Indian Diaspora in USA by Prof.Aparna Rayaprol/Mr. Sunil Roberts/Prof. Anantha Bobbili/Prof. Mathew George/Ricky Kej/Prof. Amarjit was held from 26 -28 Nov 2020, attended by 8 faculty and 135 student participants.
- One Day seminar on Relevance of Social Sciences in Age of Technology was held on 25th November 2019, attended by 10 faculty and 110 student participants.
- One Day workshop on research writing by Dr. Uma Joseph was held on 31st January 2019 for 55 BA students.
Guest Lectures
- Maps and Making of the world - Medieval cartography by Dr MN Rajesh, Department of History, University of Hyderabad. Dr MN Rajesh, Department of History, University of Hyderabad held on January 23, 2023, attended by 60 students.
- Preparing Effectively in History for Competitive Exams by Prof.Anjaiah, Head Department of History, Arts College, Osmania University was held on 30th January 2023 attended by 150 students.
- Art &Women’s History Dr. B. Lavanya, Associate Professor, Department of History, O.U. 17/11/21 attended by 53 students.
- UPSC civil service guidance by Mary Ann Franklin, Genesis academy was held on 4/1/22 attended by 145 students.
- Interim period of two World Wars- conflicts and challenges by Dr. G Anjaiah, Associate Professor, OU on 29/1/22 attended by 53 students.
- History and Politics of Tibet by Dr. Rajesh, department of History, HCU on 18 March 2021 attended by 52 students.
- Intach’s Heritage Workshop – on 4th December 2020 participated by 30 students.
- Significance and structure of the British Residency by Mr. Satvik on 11/12/2019 attended by 54 students.
- Significance of the study of Tourism by Dr. P. Aruna , Asst. Prof. in History, Women’s College, Osmania University on 12/12/2019 attended by 52 students.
- 17th September 2018- Ms. Smriti, an alumnus of the college, delivered a guest lecture on the opportunities available for the social sciences students. She also spoke on the international affairs, and about the opportunities that students can avail by studying abroad.
- 20th December 2018- The Departments organized a guest lecture for aspiring civil servants. Mr.T. Vivek former civil servant and Mr. M.A Sattar spoke about necessary preparedness and emotional intelligence required to crack the exams. It was an informative session for the students.
- 17th January,2019 -The club organized another guest lecture for students where Mr. Ramesh Babu of LA Excellence spoke about civil services (both central and state) and how to prepare for them. It was a highly interactive and enriching session for the students.
