Capacity Building

 

  • Club: The Department of Telugu established a cultural and literary club named “Harivillu” in 2010. The Department organizes several competitions like Telugu debate, elocution, folk dance, classical dance, classical singing, story writing, essay writing, poetry writing, poetry recitation, painting, "sahithi antyakshari" etc,. competitions for students of St. Francis every year. The Club instituted a Gold medal for the Telugu student who scores highest marks in second language -Telugu course every year. These activities enhance the spirit of traditional and cultural temperament in students and help them to improve their personality.
  • Club: The Department of Telugu established a cultural and literary club named “Poorna Kaumidhi” for teaching faculty and staff of St. Francis.
  • Festival: Every year, the department organizes food fest with “Telugu vari pindi vantalu” by Telugu students which were appreciated by the college.
  • Newsletter: Every Year, department releases “Kadambam” a literary magazine compiled with the articles written by students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
Seminar and Workshops
  • Organized online webinar titled as “Mee manasaku nachina Telugu sahitya sambhandhitha amshamu” in April 2020.
  • Organized online webinar titled as “Manava Sambhandha bhandavyaalapai Covid -19 prabhavam, parinamam” in May 2020.
  • Presented a Facebook Live Webinar on the topic “Covid-19 Awareness”
