Online Campus Radio
: On January 10, 2014 under the able guidance of Mr Daniel Kelly, a full bright Scholar and visiting Professor from Wisconsin University started the first-ever online College Radio for the students named as `Francis Bol’. Since then every year students produce good number of radio programmes online for students of this college and also for outsiders. This is one of the major achievements as there is a huge fan club from other colleges listening to the radio programmes.
Campus Herald
is a tabloid-sized newspaper initiated by the Dept. of Mass Communication since 2014. A synthesis of theory and practical knowledge, this project brings the students of Mass Communication face-to-face with the life of a journalist in the real world—giving an exposure to reporting, writing, editing, designing and also to the related works of advertising and printing. The publication focuses on events in the campus and taps into the voices and talent of budding writers and designers among the students. As of December 2019, Campus Herald is published online on the SFC website with only a few copies being printed
The department of Mass Communication organizes every year various innovative and attractive activities to enhance creative skills among students. PR Campaign
: As an initiation of the Dept. of Mass Communication, students of BA final year organise a Campaign aimed at its on-campus publics as part of their DSE, Public Relations. Recognising the need to go beyond the theory of what a campaign means or what it means to change an attitude, since 2017, this project helps students build and enhance planning, organisational and communication skills. This is achieved through undertaking awareness-creation and education activities on trending issues. The Campaign for 2017 revolved around women taking a stand for women titled 'HerForHer', 'The Francis Project' – A campaign to save the earth (2018), and 'Shield' – A campaign on women's safety (2019). Students are required to plan and to use the various tools of Public Relations to bring their campaign to life.
